•What made you want to start Crossfit?
After years of making fun of CrossFit, in February 2017 I finally gave it a try.
I was trying to get hired as a flight paramedic with Pennstar Medical Helicopter. I had to lose a few pounds and the one pilot owned an affiliate and invited me to a community class.. I was hooked! Unfortunately that gym closed and I moved to the Emmaus area around the same time. I was in and out of conventional and other local crossfit gyms but couldn’t find what I was looking for until joining Free Will. I’ve only been a member at Free Will since February 2021.
•What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Some days it’s a victory just walking in the front door of the gym! I’m pretty hard on myself when it comes to strength and agility but as I reflect on the last few months I’m pretty proud of every workout I’ve completed and becoming healthier each and every day!
•What keeps you coming back to Free Will?
There are a lot of reasons and goals I’ve yet to obtain that inspire me to keep coming back. One of the main reasons I return week after week is the family and community atmosphere! The people at Free Will are the biggest asset and just flat out amazing!
•What are your favorite and least favorite exercises?
I enjoy moving heavy weights, squats, deadlifts, cleans... and to no surprise anyone that knows me knows I absolutely loath running and burpees.. especially in the same workout.. even if they are getting easier, we should limit to once a month.
