She came to us, first, as a personal training client, started group classes a few months ago, and is now a regular at our 9am class. She was kind enough to answer a few questions about her experience with Crossfit. Check it out!
•What is your fitness background and what made you want to start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit because I wanted to become more healthy as an overall concept. I’ve noticed how much of a knock on affect it has had though on my physicality as it relates to everyday life - small things like having more postural awareness when I walk and stand to the ways in which I lift things have changed.
•What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am most proud of all of my weight training - especially my deadlifts, front squats and power snatches! It’s not something that I would ever get to experience in a traditional gym setting so I’m really glad I get to do some now through CrossFit; I would’ve never have guessed that it’s something that I would do and even love!
•What’s your next goal?
My next goals are to start thinking more intentionally about nutrition and what that can be shaped into to get the most out of CrossFit and to see all that hard work go further.
