What you need:

  • What you need:
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 ½ Tbsp minced garlic
  • 80g soy sauce
  • 20g gochujang
  • 3 green onions
  • 300g basmati rice
  • 30g brown sugar

Creamy Sriracha mayo

  • 90g light mayo
  • 50g sriracha
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp garlic
  • 2 Tbsp milk or water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients for Sriracha mayo
  2. Rinse rice in a mesh strainer under cold water for 2 minutes
  3. Add rice to 450g of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 more minutes
  4. Mix the ingredients for the beef marinade.
  5. Brown the beef and add the marinade when it’s about 50% cooked
  6. Add green onions and let simmer for 5 more minutes
  7. Add rice and beef to a bowl and drizzle with the Sriracha mayo

**Optional: For an even healthier option, hold the brown sugar and/or add a vegetable. It's good with chicken too!
