Congratulations Rachel on a great month! Not only is she making huge progress in class, but she’s the only teenager you’ll see voluntarily attending our early morning classes! We love the ambition and we love what you bring to our crossfit family. Let’s learn more about Rachel!

1. Why do you do CrossFit?

I do CrossFit as a way of staying in shape for track and I love being in such an encouraging environment where I’m constantly being pushed to be the strongest person that I can be.

2. What is your best advice for someone just starting CrossFit?

My best advice to someone starting CrossFit would just be to be patient. It can be frustrating at first especially if you hold high expectations of yourself but you have to trust the process and be nice to yourself as you learn the different movements and adjust to the environment of CrossFit.

3. What is your favorite kind of workout or movement? 

I’ve really grown to love any workout that’s mostly just heavy lifting and of course I love any workout that has running in it! My favorite things right now are probably squat cleans and snatches. 

4. What is your dream job and why?

My dream job is to be a surgeon because I like the idea of working in such a dynamic environment although I also think it would be pretty cool to be a lawyer.  

5. What’s your favorite activity/hobby outside the gym?

Outside of the gym I like hanging out with my friends and listening to music.
